As we embark on a new year in Toastmasters, I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve you as your District Program Director.
My responsibilities include all aspects of education and training within our District by supporting quality clubs, member retention, promoting the Distinguished Club Program (DCP) also the planning, organizing, and executing the district conference.
We want to see each member reach their potential as confident leaders and speakers. This will be achieved by utilizing resources in Toastmasters International.

Easy-Speak is a meeting management software program written by a Toastmaster for Toastmasters designed to minimize human effort in the administration of the club and maximize the data available to run the club effectively.

District 86 Contest Information
District 86 is having
the International Speech contest and Table Topics contest this year.
- Members have an excellent opportunity to develop
and showcase their public speaking skills.
- Contests provide different opportunities to engage
and help members develop through Toastmasters.
- Looking to attract new members, invite guests to
your contest.
The International
Speech and Table Topics online contest periods in District 86 are:
- Club Contests: November 1, 2023, to December 31,
2023.
- Areas with four or less clubs in good standing 8
weeks prior to the Area Contest, will send two contestants from each club
to the International Speech Contest and two contestants from each club to
the Table Topics Contests to compete at the Area contest.
- Areas with more than four clubs in good standing
8 weeks prior to the Area Contest, will send one contestant from each
club to the International Speech Contest and one contestant from the club
Table Topics Contest to compete at the Area contest.
- Area Contests: January 1, 2024, to February 15,
2024.
- Divisions with four or less Areas will send two
contestants from the Area International Speech contest and two
contestants to the Table Topics Contest to compete at the Division
contest.
- Division Contests: February 16, 2024, to March 25,
2024.
- Divisions, will send the first place contestant of
the Division International Speech contest and the first place contestant of
the Table Topics Contest to compete and the District Level Contests.
- District 86 Contest: April 18 2024, 4pm -10pm.
- Winner of the International Speech Contest goes
on to the Region Quarter Final.
- Table Topics Contest concludes at District level.
